Located at the southern end of Gwangjin Bridge in Gangdong-gu, South Korea, the KN GLOBAL Headquarters stands as a testament to innovative architectural design. Conceptualized by ZAIRA Architects & Engineers, this 1,154 m² mixed-use building harmonizes functionality, aesthetics, and the company's identity. By incorporating the principles of "concrete lining" into its design, the building not only reflects the client’s expertise in tunnel construction but also introduces a fresh perspective on urban architecture.

Site Context and Challenges

The building is situated on a trapezoidal plot overlooking the Han River and Achasan Mountain. The bustling "Cheonho-dong Tool Street" forms its frontage, while a 3.6-meter elevation difference between the front and rear roads facilitates efficient underground parking without extensive excavation.
