Roshen Logistics Center by Prototype: A Benchmark in Industrial Architecture
The Roshen Logistics Center in Vinnytsia blends efficient warehouse operations with human-centered spaces, contextual facades, natural light, and sustainable materials.
Located in Vinnytsia, Ukraine, the Roshen Logistics Center is a state-of-the-art industrial facility designed by prototype architects. Spanning an impressive 32,775 m², this 2023 project exemplifies how functional efficiency can seamlessly merge with human-centered design and contextual sensitivity in modern warehouse architecture.

Functional and Operational Design
The logistics center is engineered with a highly optimized technological layout, prioritizing the operational flow of warehouse and production lines. These functional areas dominate the facility, ensuring maximum efficiency in goods handling, storage, and distribution. Meanwhile, the administrative block is thoughtfully designed to support employees, with spaces that encourage collaboration and interaction. Voids between functional volumes are transformed into public extensions such as open offices, lounges, and halls, promoting a sense of openness and community.

Natural light is strategically introduced through a central atrium and outdoor patio, blurring the boundary between interior and exterior. The integration of glass and semi-transparent materials enhances fluidity and visual connectivity throughout the building, creating a dynamic and inviting environment.

Contextual and Aesthetic Approach
Prototype architects have taken a context-sensitive approach to facade design. The functional volumes are enveloped in clean, restrained planes, while the facade textures and colors are inspired by the industrial aesthetic of truck trailers, reflecting the building’s operational purpose.
Areas closer to human interaction are treated with finer, more intricate textures, establishing a gradient of detail that balances utility with refinement. This subtle interplay of textures ensures that while the building functions efficiently, it also communicates architectural sophistication to employees and visitors alike.

Materiality and Sustainability
The project employs premium manufacturers and materials to achieve durability and aesthetic quality, including:
- Reynaers Aluminium
- Fundermax panels
- Glamox lighting solutions
- Kingspan Isoste insulation
- Seves Glassblock
These choices not only enhance operational efficiency but also contribute to a sustainable, long-lasting industrial facility.

Photography and Visual Documentation
The center’s architectural elegance is captured through the lens of Yevhenii Avramenko, highlighting the interplay of concrete, glass, and textured facades. Both exterior and interior photography reveal how light, materiality, and spatial design converge to create an innovative logistics hub.
The Roshen Logistics Center stands as a benchmark for contemporary industrial architecture. By balancing technological efficiency, human-centered spaces, and contextual aesthetics, Prototype architects have created a facility that is both functional and visually compelling.
