White House by Dipen Gada and Associates: A Contemporary Luxury Residence in Porbandar
White House by Dipen Gada blends minimalist design, nature, and luxury, featuring open spaces, Zen gardens, a reflective pool, and serene interiors.
Nestled near the airport in Vanana, Porbandar, the White House byDipen Gada and Associates is a striking example of contemporary residential architecture in India. Completed in 2023, this 8,900 sq. ft. luxury home was designed for a client specializing in marine rescue operations and engineering, who sought a functional, parent-friendly residence that embraced nature and open spatial connections. Architects:

Thoughtful Design During Challenging Times
The conceptualization of the White House began during the Covid-19 pandemic. Collaborating remotely, the client and lead architects Ishank Patel and Dev Suthar explored multiple design ideas to create a home that balances serenity, practicality, and visual harmony. Situated on a 65,000 sq. ft. plot, the residence required three bedrooms, expansive openings for natural light, and a seamless green connection with the surrounding landscape.

Architecture that Blends Interior and Exterior Spaces
Approaching the house, visitors are greeted by a long driveway leading to a prominent porch dominated by a large white wall mass. The home’s design features a high-ceiling living room, a dining and family living area, a small covered deck, and a larger deck with a long pool. These spaces are carefully interwoven, allowing nature and interior architecture to coexist, creating fluid visual and spatial connections throughout the property.

A Captivating Pool and Outdoor Experience
The swimming pool serves as the central focal point of the house, positioned between the tall living room and the master bedroom. Its reflective waters mirror the sky, surrounded by white walls and fluted plaster, offering a calming and mesmerizing visual experience. Adjacent to the formal living area, a circular sunken outdoor space provides a unique seating arrangement, enhancing the home’s connection with its natural surroundings.

Bedrooms Designed for Comfort and Zen-like Tranquility
The residence features three bedrooms, with the master suite strategically located next to the pool and front garden, allowing residents to enjoy serene views and private outdoor access. The two additional bedrooms share an alcove and a deck opening to a Zen-inspired garden at the rear. Bathrooms maintain a minimalist aesthetic, with skylights and open showers energizing the spaces, while the master toilet evokes a spa-like atmosphere through its subtle interplay of whites and blues.

Landscape Design: Simplicity Meets Nature
Extending the architectural language of simplicity, the landscape design emphasizes a vast green lawn with indigenous plant species and natural wild grasses. The gardens not only complement the clean, minimalist lines of the home but also create an immersive environment that encourages relaxation and connection with nature.

A Home That Embodies Serenity, Functionality, and Luxury
White House in Porbandar is more than just a residence; it is an architectural experience that harmoniously merges interior and exterior spaces, incorporates natural elements, and balances modern design with functional living. Its attention to detail, from the fluted plaster walls to the serene pool reflections, ensures an enduring sense of calm, luxury, and parent-friendly comfort.
