The Forgotten Edges:Center for Khazan Ecology and Living traditions
This thesis proposes an adaptive socio-ecological infrastructure along Goa’s Khazan water edges to counter urban severance. By replacing rigid boundaries with dynamic spatial strategies, the design restores vulnerable edges into vibrant thresholds for community stewardship, biodiversity, and cultural identity—reconnecting regional ecosystems with local heritage and future resilience.
A Region-Specific Spatial Framework for Sustainable Water Management and Community Education in Southwest Bangladesh.
Bangladesh faces a growing water crisis due to pollution, overextraction, and inadequate management. This study proposes the country's first integrated, hydrological region-specific Water Research and Awareness Center, linking research, policy, and public education. Focused on the vulnerable Khulna region, it offers a scalable spatial model for sustainable water management and community resilience.

Rain
We live under towering skyscrapers, often feeling overwhelmed. To reduce this pressure, we propose a climate-responsive tower. Instead of rigid structures, the design embraces organic curves, creating a softer urban experience. With Singapore’s water agreement ending in 2061, the building integrates a rainwater system for self-sufficiency and security.
LifeCycle
Water crisis is one big issue that has hit human life quietly but severely. This program is supposed to provide a collaborative way of the modern and traditional way of collecting water from nature. To be aware about this global issue and to honor the people around the world who have sacrificed their lives for this cause.
A lot of time has been spent on developing the visual aesthetic of the fog catcher resulting in a well-designed piece. The link to protest is less well developed and feels underexplored.

Khushi Shirur portfolio 2025
This portfolio explores a range of architecture projects addressing real-world challenges across diverse global contexts. It includes Infill affordable housing, Adaptive reuse of rooftops, and Disaster relief shelter design each focusing on issues of density, sustainability, and resilience. Together, the work reflects a commitment to human-centered, practical design that responds to contemporary social and environmental needs.
Rooted
Architecture does not begin with form. It begins with listening— to the ground beneath, the culture around, and the materials that the land offers. These six projects span landscape and structure, wetland and mountain, urban density and open field. What holds them together is not a style. It is a conviction— that the best architecture grows from where it stands. Rooted is a body of work built on that belief.
The Aqueous
The building looks good, but with no apparent inspiration from water in the design. The idea of filtration system on physical connection to the water is interesting, but seems a bit disconnected from the main volume and shape. The proposed layout and programming appears random, with dormatories on ground level next to public programs and meeting rooms on the top floor.
ARCHITECTURE FOR ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE EXCAVATIONS
This thesis focuses on building an architecture that intervenes during archaeological excavations to mitigate the issue of lengthy excavation times that are not beneficial to the public. In addition, the architecture will act to protect the ancient ruins up to No.21 that are affected by the environment that occurs within the area.

The designs offers a series of inside out strategies which would help affected communities deal with a flood situation and also help in recovery in the aftermath.
Marshland Punk - Science Powered Greenhouse
The nature’s instinct to recover from and fight against man-made conditions is a true punk-like rebellion. By combining the conveniences of modern scientific approaches in plant production and nature’s punk attitude, a strong and a sustainable system for environmental protection is set.
WATER SCARCITY
The main goal of this proposal is to reduce the impact of the increasingly scarce freshwater problem by establishing a network of environmentally friendly deployable towers. They can self-collect water, while their surroundings are freed from the installation of greenhouses and arable land.
