Rain

We live under towering skyscrapers, often feeling overwhelmed. To reduce this pressure, we propose a climate-responsive tower. Instead of rigid structures, the design embraces organic curves, creating a softer urban experience. With Singapore’s water agreement ending in 2061, the building integrates a rainwater system for self-sufficiency and security.

These yellow, red, green, blue and white towers tell us the sector we are entering and, along the approach, light is used to see by and give us direction in ideas of lighting in rhythm with our speed". The flowing circulation of the building is inspired by water in an obvious but interesting way, and the proposal is nicely communicated through it's illustrations and supportive texts. The final outcome is a bit messy and strange to the site, but the programming and relationship to the river makes up for that.
