Landscape design approaches that restore, regenerate, and reimagine degraded or post-industrial sites.
A New Wood: Walking Through Little Red Riding Hood as Landscape Architecture
A shortlisted competition entry translates the Hero's Journey of a fairy tale into curving paths, timber pavilions, and deliberate disorientation.
REVITALIZING POST-INDUSTRIAL LANDFORMS THROUGH ECO-POETIC DESIGN
REVITALIZING POST-INDUSTRIAL LANDFORMS THROUGH ECO-POETIC DESIGN
Return To Earth
In the past, cemeteries have served as special places for the community. They functioned as emotional places for people to contemplate and reflect. To reintroduce cemeteries in urban areas, cutting edge technology must be incorporated to accommodate for the growing urban population and, while using ecologically beneficial solutions
Fostering Coexistence: Revitalizing Coastal Communities and Ecological Restoration
This project presents a regenerative model for climate-responsive coastal development, integrating wetland filtration, mangrove restoration, circular waste management, and community-led livelihoods. By positioning architecture as a catalyst for ecological restoration, it strengthens biodiversity, enhances resilience, and reconnects people with nature.
A strong and well-researched regenerative proposal that successfully connects ecological restoration with community livelihoods and public space. Its greatest strength is the systemic relationship between water, mangroves, waste, fisheries and architecture. Further technical validation and a sharper architectural synthesis would strengthen the project considerably
The project demonstrates a well-conducted site analysis and a thorough study of the surrounding context. However, the plan resolution is low, which affects its clarity and readability. Overall, it is a good project that successfully integrates architectural design with urban design.
Ong Ho Island: A Brand-New Look
The new landscape design strengthens the identity of Ong Ho Island through a connected system of cultural spaces, ecological corridors, agricultural experiences, and smart technologies. Traditional gardens, heritage landmarks, waterways, and local communities are not replaced, but renewed and connected into a contemporary island experience.

Platform Park (Huddle)
The platform is a park designed for people of advanced age, where the impact of the usual to the natural is minimal. The intention of the park is to generate a space where users can travel, contemplate and meet. The continuity of a level from the highest point of the lot is considered, in order to generate a continuous step without irregularities.
METROPOLITAN SHELTER
We value the study of the conection with the city and the different levels of the void in wich we are working.
A very sensitive solution that keeps the site universally accessible.
Bend It
The more dense our urban environments become, the more valuable open and natural settings become. This struck me first when reviewing how the adjacent community has appropriated the abandoned train route to commune with nature and neighbors in ways that are informal, organic, creative, and productive.
We value very positvly the awareness of valuing the access to the space, something that we consider very importan in this project.
Overall an excellent response to the brief - very sophisticated yet humble.
Love the concept , love his originality and use of space . Good luck
Baoyi Huang Landscape Architecture Portfolio
This portfolio explores how landscape design can create meaningful connections between people, nature and place. Through ecological restoration, urban transformation and inclusive public spaces, the projects investigate how landscapes can support resilient environments and enrich everyday experiences.
Progetto Ancora.
Beneath the asphalt, a century of industry poisoned the ground that feeds the lagoon. We remove the roads. Not to beautify. To begin. Hyperaccumulator plants draw poison from the earth, one slow season at a time. Buildings stop at their edges, not from failure, but from honesty. Ancora. Still here. Still anchored.
NOTHINGNESS - REVITALISATION OF AN ABANDONED QUARRY IN CHENNAI
?THE MODERN PARK IS NO LONGER SEEN AS A QUIET RURAL GREEN, BUT AS A SPARKLING AND OVERCHARGED URBAN CROSSROADS? ? ADRIAAN GEUZE This thesis is about seeing the massive areas of disrupted land that once stood to represent the height of innovation and success appearing as abandoned wastelands into a potential urban landscape .
Footprints
This tropical retreat is an exploration of possibilities where people live in harmony with nature. By learning from the nature in place and the indigenous wisdom, our design emerges from and honors native context, becoming part of it, like trees in a forest, leaving a more regenerative footprint.
