A bowl that contains nature
A skincare center where you can experience various things
The meaning of the skin care center logo
Tamna is an old nickname for Jeju Island. It means an island country in the deep and far sea. When Tamna is pronounced in the English word order, it is pronounced as "Tamna" in Korean, and the meaning of "Tamna" means to have or want to occupy it. It literally means experiencing attractive products in an attractive space.
Introduction – Focus on KOREA BEAUTY
Humans instinctively pursue beauty. It is no exaggeration to say that human desire for beauty began with human history. Since ancient times, Koreans have focused on subtle beauty and natural skin expression rather than artificial makeup according to Confucian morality. In other words, he valued inner beauty. The basis of this is the natural ingredient of something and cosmetics that can be felt in nature. From the past a long time ago to the present, K-beauty has not changed its nature as a natural ingredient in cosmetics that can feel nature. The essence and core of K-beauty is inner beauty.
Contribution Analysis, Approach – What We Think of as a Skin Care Center
The difference between skin care centers is the intersection of cosmetics culture in Jeju Island. This is not a unique brand space. Therefore, there are various choices and experiences.
We wanted to show the essence of local skin care and cosmetics culture and tradition through various experiences that can be felt in nature.
Inspiration, Concept – Crater / Our Personal View of the Crater
The expression of these various experiences is Mt. Halla, a volcano representing Jeju Island. Inspired by the crater in it. Craters exist by overlapping various layers of nature (trees, flowers, stones, lakes, etc.). And they show off their individuality, but eventually permeate into a harmonious form. To us, the crater seemed to contain the natural ingredients of cosmetics, nature, and seep into the skin. I think this is Jeju Island's "bowl containing nature."
We invite visitors to a bowl of nature. They can feel nature in the space and products in the skin care center and eventually permeate into the inner beauty.
Architectural interpretation – Various layers of nature overlap, bowls for nature / Skincare center where you can feel and experience nature directly
We hope to discover our inner beauty by feeling nature here. Therefore, rather than a series of existing processes in which a product is understood, applied, and purchased in one piece of media, users wanted to see, touch, and smell the ingredients of the product with various stimuli of nature to understand the natural ingredients used in the product and purchase the product. In order to maximize this, the mass is segmented and external spaces are created everywhere. This is because the outer space has the power to experience nature and skin at the same time. And these stimuli allow the user to experience more abundant programs they will encounter in the next space and make it easier to understand the natural ingredients used in skincare products.
This designed skincare center allows users to feel the five senses of skincare products, and this strategy will lead to the formation of an economic network that allows users who have visited the skincare center and used local products to visit their stores to purchase them.

Meaning of Materials
As a result of investigating the area of Ido-dong, we could find common ground in the exterior materials of the building. Tiles and volcanic stones, materials that take into account these surrounding contexts, are reinterpreted to reveal a sophisticated image, and at the same time, they expressed friendliness and locality through rounding in a sophisticated atmosphere inspired by the curved elements of the Jeju crater.
Emphasize Korean traditional beauty with a heavy and warm atmosphere inside the middle wood structure. Harmony of traditional beauty and locality through curved treatment of door and window openings
Comprehensively, the context of the existing land (the material of the outer wall of Jeju City and the soil that forms Jeju Island) is reinterpreted to consider harmony with the surrounding area, and to present the Korean inner beauty pursued by the Korea Skincare Center.
