A Pink Paradise: Amsterdam Welcomes a Stunningly Instagrammable Oasis
Get Ready to Be Charmed by Amsterdam's Newest Pink-Themed Attraction, Perfect for Your Next Insta Post!
Pink Beach, a new open-air bar located less than 10 minutes away from Amsterdam Central Station, offers visitors the chance to step into a dream world filled with pink sand, palm trees, cacti, and a lagoon-like ball pit where they can enjoy tropical cocktails. The bar's 300m2 sunny terrace, which is completely pink, is the ultimate dreamscape. Pink Beach is an initiative of the makers of WONDR Experience and was designed in collaboration with the award-winning Spanish interior designer Patricia Bustos.
The idea for Pink Beach was born out of the gloomy period of last year, which saw two lockdowns and widespread isolation. Sarah Mendes, the founder of WONDR & Pink Beach, was inspired by the pink-sanded beaches in the Caribbean and Indonesia that she had longed to visit during the pandemic. The goal was to create a surreal place where visitors could imagine themselves in a tropical environment, enjoying tasty cocktails with their feet on pink sand. The atmosphere is young, energetic, and hyper-photogenic, designed to allow guests to have fun, relax, and unwind.

The interior of Pink Beach is equally impressive, designed by Patricia Bustos, also known as the Queen of Pink. Last year, Bustos received the FRAME award for best use of colour. For the open-air bar, she drew inspiration from Art Deco and the work of photographer Slim Aarons to create an oasis in the middle of the city. Pink Beach is a timeless place that unburdens and stimulates all the senses.
Bustos aimed to create an uncomplicated place where visitors could enjoy the pleasurable emotion of "Dolce far niente," which is an expression used in Italy to describe the feeling of doing nothing at all. In a post-Covid world, uncomplicated enjoyment is what many people crave, and Pink Beach offers exactly that. The bar is a place to reconnect with friends, laugh together, and put mobile phones away, to experience quality time.

Pink Beach officially opened on June 8, 2021, at Meeuwenlaan 88 in Amsterdam (North), and is open every day. Visitors can reserve a table online or a place in one of the lounges. Instax, the main sponsor of Pink Beach, provides colourful instant photos for every visitor to capture the most beautiful moments.

In conclusion, Pink Beach is a perfect destination for those who long for a tropical vacation but are unable to travel due to the pandemic. The bar's surreal atmosphere, colourful cocktails, and delicious food, along with its hyper-photogenic design and impressive interior, make it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking uncomplicated enjoyment in the heart of the city.
