Above the Slope

The project is located on a steep tropical terrain where the slope becomes the main design element. Instead of flattening the land, the house rises with it through a system of slender stilts. This elevated structure reduces contact with the ground, allowing rainwater, vegetation, and the natural terrain to remain undisturbed.

The design creates a light architectural presence between the earth and the canopy. It responds to the tropical climate by improving airflow, reducing humidity effects, and opening views toward the surrounding landscape. The project aims to create a balanced relationship between architecture and nature, where the building does not dominate the site but adapts to its conditions.

By lifting the living spaces above the slope, the house offers a new spatial experience: connected to nature, respectful to the land, and shaped by the forces of topography and climate.
