The BONELESS Concept Store, designed by Supercloud Studio, is a striking new retail and cultural hub located in Dongshankou, Guangzhou. The Brand Identity, Rooted in Street Culture

Founded in 2018 by a group of independent designers, BONELESS represents more than just a fashion label. Its name comes from a skateboard trick, the boneless, which symbolizes freedom, creativity, and self-expression. This rebellious and open attitude is the foundation of the brand’s identity and plays a crucial role in shaping its retail spaces.

After the success of its Shanghai TX Huaihai concept store in 2022, BONELESS partnered once again with Supercloud Studio to create an exclusive new space in Guangzhou. Designed to reflect inclusivity, sustainability, and openness, the Dongshankou store strengthens the brand’s presence in China’s evolving streetwear scene.

Architectural Concept, The Power of “B”

In 2023, BONELESS introduced a new visual identity (VI) system where the letter “B” became the brand’s core symbol. In the Guangzhou store, this bold graphic identity takes center stage. The giant B-letterhead is used at an architectural scale, integrated into walls, facades, and interiors to establish an instantly recognizable retail landmark.

By merging branding with architectural elements, the store becomes more than a shopping space, it’s a cultural statement that connects brand identity to the urban fabric of Dongshankou.

Interior Design, Suspended Minimalism and Raw Materiality

The 102 m² interior is a carefully curated balance of minimalist design, street-inspired details, and immersive retail storytelling.

  • A uniformly illuminated ceiling reduces the sense of gravity, creating a light and airy environment.
  • A wooden suspension structure floats above, reinforcing the brand’s rebellious yet refined aesthetic.
  • Metal rods and wooden blocks form a modular display system for showcasing fashion pieces and accessories.
  • The cashier backdrop combines screens and dynamic visuals, offering a multi-dimensional retail experience.

The result is a store that feels both experimental and timeless, aligning with BONELESS’s philosophy of continuous evolution.

A Space for Culture and Community

More than a retail destination, the BONELESS Concept Store is designed as a flexible cultural hub. Its openness and adaptability allow it to evolve with fashion cycles, pop-up events, and creative activations. This reflects the brand’s commitment to staying relevant in today’s fast-paced consumer culture while maintaining strong ties to street culture.
