A Folly in the Forest: Artistic and Playful

Buitenverblijf Nest, one of 11 follies developed as holiday stays, embodies the theme of 'camouflage', resonating with the historical significance of its site. Follies, traditionally non-conventional structures with an artistic or playful purpose, here, encourage a harmonious coexistence with nature. Nest stands as a modern interpretation of this concept, designed to be a guest in the landscape rather than dominating it.

Design Philosophy: Sustainability Meets Innovation

Inspired by Nature

The design of Nest is inspired by the archetypal image of a birdhouse, creating a direct connection with its avian neighbors. Its structure, perched on slender legs and composed of staggered layers, not only offers a distinctive aesthetic but also incorporates nesting boxes for birds, woodpeckers, and bats, making it a true nature-inclusive haven.
