The bar’s spatial planning emphasizes simplicity and functionality. Upon entering, guests are welcomed by a DJ booth accompanied by a curated vinyl collection, setting the tone for the musical experience. The central dance floor allows freedom of movement, while bar counters on both sides serve cocktails and light bites. Every detail is carefully considered to ensure acoustic perfection, featuring high-end systems from devonojas, creating an immersive audio experience.

Mirzoyan Studio envisioned the bar as a giant musical instrument, where visitors feel enveloped by sound within a warm, plywood-lined interior that echoes the resonance of a guitar or speaker. The design balances energy and intimacy, creating a space that is simultaneously vibrant and welcoming.

Japanese Minimalism Meets Contemporary Design

Drawing inspiration from Eastern design principles, the bar incorporates orthogonal lines, clean shapes, horizontally oriented furniture, vertical wall rhythms, and a structured orthogonal ceiling. Plywood serves as the primary material for walls, ceilings, and custom furniture, offering warmth and tactile comfort. Accents of stainless steel in countertops and chair legs provide a modern contrast while maintaining an elegant, minimalist aesthetic.

Dynamic Lighting for a Multi-Mood Atmosphere

Lighting plays a pivotal role in Bursa Bar’s atmosphere. The design combines accent lighting over seating areas with soft linear illumination highlighting vinyl shelves and drink displays. Adjustable light intensity allows the creation of distinct moods, ensuring every guest feels uniquely catered to, whether enjoying an intimate cocktail or dancing to live music.

Acoustic Design and Spatial Innovation

A key design challenge was soundproofing, given the hotel rooms above. By lowering the ceiling and integrating a lattice structure, the team achieved superior acoustic performance while providing concealed spaces for lighting fixtures and ventilation systems. The design also had to harmonize with the existing layout, creating volumetric and spatial interventions that respect the historical and visual context of the building.

Craftsmanship and Curated Details

Almost all furniture and décor were custom-made by Ukrainian craftsmen, ensuring originality and attention to detail. Iconic table lamps from &Tradition complement the space, while devonojas speakers deliver impeccable sound quality. Each element: from furniture to lighting to acoustics: works together to create a holistic, immersive bar experience that celebrates music, design, and social connection.
