ETC 2.0 House by Rakta Studio: Modern Tropical Luxury in Padalarang, Indonesia
ETC 2.0 House by Rakta Studio blends modern tropical architecture, stacked concrete volumes, timber, natural stone, indoor-outdoor living, luxury, and sustainability.
Nestled within the scenic contours of Kota Baru Parahyangan, the ETC 2.0 House by Rakta Studio redefines modern tropical living. This semi-detached residence in Padalarang, West Java, exemplifies the perfect harmony of contemporary architecture, natural materials, and sustainable design. Spanning 1200 m², the two-story home with mezzanine and semi-basement levels seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor spaces, offering residents an immersive experience in nature while maintaining sophisticated luxury.

Innovative Design and Architectural Concept
The architectural composition of ETC 2.0 House features stacked concrete volumes complemented by warm timber planks and natural stone finishes. This material palette creates a dynamic interplay of textures and forms, enhancing the tropical modern aesthetic while rooting the home in its lush surroundings. Concrete and steel construction ensures both structural durability and spatial flexibility, allowing natural light and ventilation to permeate throughout the home.

A signature element of the design is the elegant steel bridge, connecting the two halves of the semi-detached structure. Hovering above an inner garden adorned with natural stones, the bridge leads directly to a welcoming timber deck, blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living.

Thoughtfully Curated Living Spaces
ETC 2.0 House prioritizes family-friendly design. The double-volume children’s bedrooms are filled with natural light via floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a sense of openness and freedom. The attic space provides additional areas for rest, while lower levels are dedicated to play or study, fostering creativity and imagination.

Descending to the semi-basement, the house offers versatile spaces for entertainment and hobbies. Residents enjoy a fitness area, bicycle workshop, semi-outdoor seating, guest accommodations, and a luxurious infinity swimming pool with tempered glass edges, providing panoramic views of the surrounding greenery. This subterranean retreat ensures privacy and tranquility, perfectly complementing the serene tropical environment.

Harmonizing Luxury, Nature, and Sustainability
The ETC 2.0 House exemplifies modern tropical architecture that harmonizes luxury, innovation, and sustainability. From its seamless integration of indoor-outdoor living to its thoughtfully curated spaces and sustainable material choices, this residence provides an indulgent yet environmentally conscious lifestyle. By balancing aesthetics, functionality, and natural surroundings, Rakta Studio has created a contemporary masterpiece that embodies the essence of tropical luxury living in Indonesia.
