Fayssal Residence: A Masterpiece of Minimalist Apartment Interior Design by Studio Paul Kaloustian
Fayssal Residence is a minimalist duplex in Beirut blending natural light, warm materials, and curated interiors for timeless elegance.
A Tranquil Sanctuary in the Heart of Beirut
The Fayssal Residence by Studio Paul Kaloustian is a stunning example of minimalist apartment interior design, situated in the serene Badaro neighborhood of Beirut. Overlooking the lush expanse of the Beirut Hippodrome, this 350-square-meter duplex harmoniously merges architectural precision with a natural, calming aesthetic. Its unique positioning along the building’s perimeter offers panoramic views in all four directions, seamlessly blending interior life with the surrounding city and nature.

Intelligent Layout Anchored in Minimalism
The architectural plan revolves around a central core, cleverly housing all service areas to maximize the living spaces around the edges. This configuration allows for a generous flow of natural light, facilitated by floor-to-ceiling glass façades that connect the inside with the city’s ever-changing landscape. The result is a space that feels expansive and uninterrupted — a hallmark of refined minimalist apartment interior design.

The internal environment is further elevated by the continuous use of warm oak flooring that stretches across all rooms, establishing a consistent visual language. Clean white walls enhance the play of light and shadow throughout the home, framing the organic curves and minimalist transitions within the apartment.

A Seamless Dialogue Between Architecture and Interior Design
Studio Paul Kaloustian’s signature approach shines in the apartment’s ability to remain quiet yet expressive. The minimalist envelope sets the stage for subtle elegance, where furniture, lighting, and material selections contribute to a serene and layered atmosphere.

The lighting design is a focal point in itself. With fixtures from Occhio and Artemide, strategically placed luminaires add dynamism and sculptural effect. Avoiding linear or repetitive arrangements, the lighting responds fluidly to the architecture’s organic rhythm. At night, this sensitivity transforms the apartment from a daylight retreat into a warmly lit composition of ambience and calm.

Furniture as Artful Contrast
The apartment’s furnishings introduce rich textures and muted tones that gently contrast the minimalist canvas. Carefully curated pieces from brands like B&B Italia, Cassina, and Tacchini infuse the space with tactile warmth without overwhelming its clean lines. Plush seating and sculptural tables are thoughtfully placed to balance comfort with sculptural refinement.

Bespoke furniture adds further individuality. The Em Table, a sculptural centerpiece crafted exclusively for this residence, showcases meticulous craftsmanship and form. Another highlight is the custom-designed Buffet Alma — a sleek, elegant storage unit that doubles as a statement of design integrity. These bespoke elements reinforce the apartment’s sense of exclusivity while aligning perfectly with its architectural spirit.

Where Design Meets Lifestyle
Fayssal Residence does more than showcase minimalist apartment interior design — it elevates it into a livable philosophy. Every material, light source, and object has been chosen to create an environment that feels deeply personal, timeless, and soothing. The residence is not just a place to live; it is a crafted experience of spatial quality, quiet sophistication, and emotional resonance.

Paul Kaloustian's architectural finesse ensures that simplicity never translates to sterility. Instead, the apartment becomes a harmonious blend of open space, warm materials, and intelligent detailing — an urban retreat that feels at once connected to the city and isolated from its chaos.

A Minimalist Icon in Modern Beirut
In a city where density and vibrancy define much of the architectural landscape, Fayssal Residence stands out as a minimalist icon. Through precise planning, restrained materiality, and a subtle celebration of form, Studio Paul Kaloustian has crafted a home that feels both current and eternal.

This project is a definitive representation of minimalist apartment interior design — where less is thoughtfully more, and design enhances every lived moment.
