Hair Salon Interior Design: LE’EVO Hair Shop by Design by 83
LE’EVO Hair Shop by Design by 83 blends modern and old elements to create a stylish, customer-centered hair salon design.
LE’EVO Hair Shop, located in Haeundae, South Korea, is a modern hair salon that offers both premium services and exceptional design. Designed by Design by 83, the 188 m² space was conceptualized to align with the brand’s new identity and the evolving needs of its clients. By moving away from the traditional wooden interiors of previous locations, the design team created a fresh atmosphere through the use of processed cold materials and contemporary tones. The overall goal was to reflect the modernity of the brand while enhancing the customer's experience.

The Concept Behind LE’EVO Hair Shop Interior
The transformation of LE’EVO Hair Shop's interior design focused on the juxtaposition of old and new elements. The design team shifted away from the warm, wood-centered aesthetic of the previous store and embraced a more industrial style. The new design incorporates processed materials, such as metal finishes, gray marble, and glossy concrete, in contrast to the natural warmth of wood. The base color of the space is white, accented with gray tones to create depth, avoiding a flat look.

The team chose to use materials that evoke sophistication and timelessness while enhancing functionality. This includes the use of SUS for the makeup table, and a unique wall finish with white stone plastering. The design’s thoughtful combination of old-world textures, such as the soft stone in the waiting area, with the sleek, cold materials represents the brand’s evolution and offers a luxurious yet approachable atmosphere.

A Focus on Customer Comfort and Service
A key focus of the LE’EVO Hair Shop’s interior design is to enhance the customer experience through thoughtful spatial planning and lighting. The design team paid particular attention to lighting, using line lighting at the makeup tables to ensure clear visibility without harsh shadows. This attention to detail creates an inviting space where the focus is on both the service and the client’s comfort.

Partitions are strategically placed throughout the salon to create a balance between open and private spaces. One such partition was installed at the entrance, ensuring that the customers' privacy is respected while maintaining an open and airy environment. The height of the partition was carefully considered to prevent the space from feeling too enclosed while subtly dividing different areas of the salon.

The Importance of Movement and Flow in Hair Salon Design
During the design process, much thought was given to the flow of movement throughout the space. The layout was meticulously planned so that customers could move from one area to another with ease, from the entrance to the waiting area, then to the makeup table, and finally, to the shampoo room. The goal was to ensure that customers could move through the space comfortably without ever feeling rushed or obstructed. This intuitive flow is an essential element of a well-designed salon, allowing the client experience to unfold naturally and seamlessly.

The Harmony of Old & New at LE’EVO
LE’EVO Hair Shop’s interior design exemplifies a successful blend of old and new, creating an environment that is both modern and welcoming. The strategic use of materials, lighting, and spatial planning results in a space that prioritizes both aesthetic appeal and functionality. Design by 83 has effectively reflected the brand’s new image while ensuring that every detail contributes to the overall experience. This innovative approach to salon design reinforces LE’EVO’s commitment to offering the best service and design to its customers.
