A Dream House Rooted in Spatial Integration

At the core of the design concept was a desire to craft the couple’s ideal rural escape—a home that feels expansive despite spatial limitations, thanks to a layout that seamlessly integrates interior and exterior spaces. The open-plan ground floor connects the living room, garden, swimming pool, and kitchen, creating a harmonious flow that blurs the line between architecture and landscape.

Concrete Latticework and Elevated Privacy

The facade features concrete latticework (cobogó) and a striking blue entry volume, forming a visual dialogue between privacy and openness. This strategic transition from street to interior unfolds through layered ceiling heights, where a low entrance opens into a double-height living space with an exposed concrete ceiling—inviting both air and light in, while ensuring thermal comfort and cross ventilation.

Materials That Blur Boundaries

To enhance the sense of fluidity, the architects selected finishes that extend from indoors to outdoors. Porcelain tiles from the pool area continue into the living spaces, and neutral color palettes ensure that interior furnishings—chosen collaboratively with the clients—stand out in quiet harmony.

Structural Brilliance: The Iconic V-Pillar

One of House RZR’s most iconic features is a sculptural V-shaped pillar that supports a dramatic 12-meter cantilever. This engineering solution not only ensures structural integrity but also frames the external views, directing attention to the beautifully landscaped garden and cantilevered volumes. The structural finesse is evident in how it anchors the architecture while shaping its visual narrative.

Designed for Today’s Needs

With modern living in mind, the house includes a dedicated home office offering a view of a curated internal tree, and a private terrace for relaxation. The master suite features a luxurious bathtub integrated into the bedroom space, oriented toward the tree for a spa-like ambiance.

Light, Shadow, and Spatial Atmosphere

Natural light plays a crucial role in House RZR’s interior dynamics. Skylights positioned above the bathrooms and near the vertical circulation areas introduce daylight and passive ventilation, while casting shifting shadows throughout the day—creating a poetic choreography of light and form.
