IMPACT

IMPACT is the word that best describes this project, both in terms of architecture and function. The inspiration for this project is the impact between Earth and space objects. These strokes create craters, so a Dome is placed inside a crater to symbolize the IMPACT. In terms of function, this object tends to have this IMPACT on humans, how important the maintenance of our planet is. Inside the Dome are located, a house and a garden, as two of the most basic units of normal life development, this is done to make people aware that even if we find life somewhere else, it will never be the same as life on the planet Earth. Eventually, when humans get out of this structure they will wonder if it is worth continuing to destroy the Earth, in the hope that we will find another planet. Or to preserve what we already have for sure. The life we know today is inextricably linked to planet Earth, as the only planet within which life takes place. But with current developments in the science of astronautics and space explorations have sparked speculation that life outside our planet could exist. The way life on earth is evolving and the huge impact that humans have on the daily destruction of the planet has raised fears that one day this planet will not provide us with living conditions and we must look for a second option to live. Such an approach should undoubtedly be thoroughly analyzed, as people should be aware that, life on another planet will never be the same as our home planet. People need to be told that even the simplest things, which we take for granted nowadays, will be a luxury on another planet. A walk in the park, a family picnic, a flower garden, a neighborhood, a day at the beach, and many other common things will never be the same. Such a perception would affect people's awareness of how our daily actions affect the entire process of extinction of our planet and consequently the end of life we know. Awareness of all, that small actions have a great impact, will undoubtedly make a difference for all of humanity and the way of life we live. If humans were to be able to somehow experience life outside the planet, they would surely wonder if it was worth leaving Earth for something else. Therefore the construction of a facility within which people even on earth would have the opportunity to experience an extraterrestrial environment would undoubtedly have a major impact. The impact is the word that best describes such an object. This was also the concept of starting the design idea of such an object. Initially, in terms of architecture, Impact is a contact between a space body and the earth, where craters from this impact. Thus initially the crater was opened, in which the dome was placed which represents the extraterrestrial body. This structure is designed to be built with 3D printers, both the Dome and the interior objects which are the House and the Garden. Access to the structure is also conceived to be through a tunnel as a way to cross from one world to another. In terms of function within the dome are placed two basic units of life on earth, which we often take for granted and do not appreciate enough their importance. These are a house and a garden. And the purpose of both will be to show people how complicated even the simplest things in this world will be on another planet, let alone the most affected ones. The modular house also serves other functions besides housing to educate people that on another planet the house will be all we will have to perform most of our actions. The other object inside the dome is the garden, which is an essential need for a normal life, and such we have in abundance on earth. In the end, when each of the visitors come out of this structure and experiences it, I will certainly think about whether it is worth risking further damage to our planet, based on the fact that we may have a Plan B, or maybe we should focus on preserving the Earth, as our only plan. This is not intended to be an approach against extraterrestrial research, but to appreciate what we have before it is too late. We will probably never find life elsewhere.
