A Multi-Dimensional Dining Experience

Landau’s Restaurant is designed to offer guests a journey through four distinct atmospheres, each evoking a unique sensory experience:

  • The Outdoor Terrace: A welcoming, open-air extension that connects to Hong Kong’s elevated pedestrian network, seamlessly integrating the restaurant with the cityscape.
  • The Bold Red Bar: A striking, high-energy space with lacquered finishes, intricate coffered ceilings, and a dark, richly veined marble bar that anchors the design. Custom cocktails are served in a setting that encourages social interaction.
  • The Vibrant Yellow Dining Area: A contemporary space with modern aesthetics, complementing the bold energy of the bar.
  • Dining Room: A refined, high-ceilinged space with intricate woodwork, a geometric patterned floor, and a pre-existing custom-designed stained-glass dome that floods the space with soft, colorful light.

This carefully curated design allows guests to transition effortlessly between different ambiances, making Landau’s an architectural and gastronomic landmark in Wanchai.

Heritage Meets Contemporary Craftsmanship

The restaurant’s interior design merges traditional European elements with contemporary Hong Kong influences. The bar area, defined by red lacquered finishes, mirrored surfaces, and glassware displays, enhances depth and light reflection. A collection of curved wooden bar stools with leather seats pays homage to vintage European craftsmanship, creating a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere.

In contrast, the Dining Room is a sanctuary of elegance. The interplay of soft blues, whites, and warm lighting establishes a serene and timeless ambiance. Paneled walls with mirrored insets create a sense of rhythm, while a statement oversized pendant chandelier complements the soft glow of wall sconces.

A Tribute to Artisanal Techniques

The stained-glass dome, a centerpiece of the Dining Room, embodies the restaurant’s commitment to artistry and heritage. The handcrafted woodwork adorning the ceilings and walls, along with a carefully selected material palette of marble, wood, and glass, reinforces the restaurant’s European influence while adapting to the modern demands of Hong Kong’s luxury dining scene.
