MOTHER'S HUG HOSPICE
CHILDREN'S HOSPICE DESIGN
Many sick children, depending on the scenario, suffer from a double trauma: on the one hand, they suffer from the disease's agony, and on the other, they suffer from anxiety, terror, or loneliness. The kid is unable to discern between internal sickness-related pain and external hardship placed on them mentally. Both sets of experiences force him to succumb unthinkingly, hopelessly, and passively. In some cases, the latter type of element, because of its great emotional importance, may even be important in creating a child's psychological breakdown during sickness or defining the aftereffects. The loss of the "love object" exacerbates physical suffering. On the other hand, the sheer presence of the mother, as well as the sensation of comfort they can receive from no one else except her, will greatly lessen pain and suffering. The deisgn intended to illustrate that anytime a kid is in pain, fear, or frustration, he or she would cry for their mother, and because the mother will know exactly what the child is going through, she will be able to console him better than anybody else. This design concepts focuses on how a child with a terminally ill disease is in a constant need of LOVE, GUIDANCE, COMFORT, FRIENDS, COURAGE, HAPPINESS and RELIEF and how the mother’s one single hug can reduce all the pain and discomfort that the child is going through.
Beauty in design has an impact on human health and well-being in addition to aesthetics. A mix of design ideas, design components, and aesthetics may be characterised as beauty in design. Beautifully designed places, according to research, promote psychological and emotional wellbeing as well as collective community participation and togetherness. People in our buildings, project owners, and the surrounding community may all benefit from encouraging and sustaining beauty in settings. Whether on big or small structures, or in facilities of any size, white concrete is linked with light, clear colours and wonderfully uniform surfaces. When white concrete is used to construct structures, they appear to be more beautiful and slender. Thermal characteristics of concrete-based materials can be significantly superior to those of competing materials. While the use of white concrete is primarily motivated by aesthetics, its brilliance/reflectivity also adds to energy efficiency, safety, and other practical factors. White concrete's increased reflectivity can be used to save energy and satisfy sustainable building standards.
Stress is a key factor in poor health. Long-term stress can compromise the immune system and cause sickness if it is not addressed. Nature is one remedy to stress, and the body's good response is astonishingly quick, taking just a few minutes. Environmental psychologists have shown that visual exposure to nature, such as trees, grass, and flowers, can successfully alleviate stress, especially when stress levels are high to begin with. Open areas allow tension to be released from the body, allowing it to recover and therefore representing love.
When children are given a fatal diagnosis, they may not fully comprehend what is going on. Doctors and other providers often advise families to explain their diagnoses to their children rather than hiding it from them. Many individuals can sense when their bodies are deteriorating, and youngsters are just as likely to notice bodily changes as well as adults' behaviours and emotions.
A memorial is defined as "a sign of remembering; the preservation or intended preservation of a person's or thing's memory." This fundamental definition is important because it identifies the core components that define memorials: that they are signs and that they have to do with a desire for recollection, with the goal of maintaining the memory of a certain subject or object. The concept of memory loss, or the danger of memory loss, underpins the preservation focus. This is an essential distinction because it emphasises the importance of monuments' commemorative role as memories of loss.
Happiness is an important component of health and well-being, but little is known about what happiness means for those towards the end of their lives, or if people's judgments of happiness alter as they age. Plants provide an atmosphere in which positive vibrations may pass through the soul, even if the body is in excruciating pain.
Animals in one's life give emotional and physical support, as well as providing comfort. Loneliness may be alleviated by having a dog or cat as a friend, someone to chat to, and someone to sit with in the evenings. When it comes to sadness and bereavement, pets may be lifesavers. When you're feeling particularly sad or worried, they might offer you a sense of purpose and a reason to get out of bed.
Our brain becomes involved in our environment and we enjoy pleasurable sensory stimulation when we're near water. We become so concentrated that we attain a level of mindfulness. As a consequence, we have less stress, less anxiety, less pain, and less sadness, greater mental clarity and focus, and better sleep.
The height restriction specified is 15m, but only 6m is used, therefore this project has the potential for future expansion, with floor-by-floor stacking as needed.
