"Memory, Regathering Syria" is envisioned as a powerful architectural proposition responding to one of the most devastating humanitarian and urban challenges of our time. Syria—one of the earliest cradles of civilization—experienced profound destruction during the civil war, leaving behind shattered cities, displaced communities, fragmented identities, and ruptured cultural continuity. More than rebuilding structures, the nation now faces the complex task of restoring memory, unity, and collective belonging.

Before the War
Before conflict consumed Aleppo, Syrians lived in a rich cultural mosaic. Daily routines, traditions, and architectural typologies reflected centuries of heritage. A tall vertical tower stands as a symbol of hope. Its ascending layers metaphorically represent Syria’s journey:
