Seamless Integration and Minimalist Design: House M by Busch & Takasaki Architekten in Isenbüttel
House M: A seamless blend of tradition and modernity, this German residence embodies minimalist elegance.
Discover House M, a residential gem nestled in Isenbüttel near Braunschweig, where tradition harmoniously meets modern aesthetics. Architects Busch & Takasaki craft a minimalist haven that seamlessly integrates into the local neighborhood, captivating with its size, silhouette, and color scheme.

Minimalist Design with a Distinctive Character
House M captivates with a minimalist design language, featuring a wooden structure and pitched roof inspired by local building traditions. The exterior, facing the street, remains discreet, emphasizing the spacious interior and the lush garden. A defining dormer not only enhances natural light in the living room but also facilitates pleasant air circulation during summer months.

Efficient Zoning and Spatial Harmony
The architects ingeniously design a central core housing a bathroom, kitchen, and staircase, efficiently zoning the living areas. Sliding doors eliminate the need for hallways, fostering an open flow. The ground floor unveils a panorama of the garden from the living room, open kitchen, bedroom, and bathtub, creating a harmonious blend of indoor and outdoor living.

Architectural Finesse: Vertical Cladding and Cohesive Materials
House M showcases architectural finesse with vertical cladding of local larch wood extending to the roof, adorned with standing seam zinc covering. This creates a cohesive language in both material and color. Inside, a focus on essential materials includes birch for built-in furniture, plastered clay walls, polished screed, and aluminum in the kitchen, contributing to the residence's timeless appeal.

Client's Involvement and Family Collaboration
Significantly, the construction of House M involves the client's family, adding a personal touch to the project. The client's daughter, Anni, plays a pivotal role in supervising the construction. This collaborative effort infuses the residence with a unique character and a sense of familial warmth.

House M by Busch & Takasaki Architekten stands as a testament to the seamless integration of tradition and modernity. Its minimalist elegance, thoughtful spatial design, and collaborative construction process create a residence that not only blends effortlessly into its surroundings but also stands out with a distinctive and timeless character.
