Enhancing Urban Conditions with Thoughtful Design

The site, bordered by Rue de Lisbonne to the north, initially cast the neighboring street in shadow, creating an uncomfortable microclimate for the area. By creating an opening in the northern façade, the architects allowed sunlight to filter in, drastically changing the environmental conditions for both the residents and the urban surroundings. This simple yet powerful intervention improves the quality of living while enhancing the visual appeal and functionality of the development.

Courtyards and Cascading Terraces

A central feature of the design is the creation of a private interior courtyard. This courtyard benefits from full southern exposure, allowing natural light to flood the communal spaces, making it ideal for residents to use and enjoy. Surrounding the courtyard are cascading terraces, designed to create a landscape of suspended gardens. These terraces offer a visual and functional connection to the natural surroundings of the Beauclair plateau, which lies in the background.
