The Affordable homes design contest project is about Empathy, Affordability, and Affordability. This project is an excellent example of the current condition where everything is getting expensive when affordability plays a significant role. The design phase opened many opportunities for me because living in states learning stuff about different regions is just a great way to do the project. When I researched the area, I noticed many things in place, the lifestyle of the site, the people, and many more things. I started calculating the sun path, and being surrounded by tall buildings to enough sunlight was quite challenging. The reason is mostly building in the area are four-plus stories in height, the total height restriction was 20 meters, and the site is also located on the main street. How do I respond to this site? Is it an angled building where every side of the building will have sunlight access? The building has excellent opportunities for landscaping and being in London, where the weather stays just perfect, it's a great way to respond to landscaping. The users of this building will have small, large, with kids' families, and by taking all conservation, I also add children playground on site.

The wonderful thing about this site is that it has daily basic needs shops nearby, such as coffee shops, grocery stores, high school, university/studio, pharmacist, hospital, tube, bus services, restaurants, and many other things. People also look for in the area where they live with affordability, wats affordability, by using sustainable sources and still providing architectural design. All floors relate to elevators, which help people who are aged or disabled. I used UK brick style for exterior and interior as a material, representing UK design. Why brick style in the interior also provides an industrial look in apartments that are not costly and still give an urban look inside and outside. There were units for six, four, two, and single-person units in the floor plan. All units have a private balcony designed in a way that won't break any privacy boundaries because the building is offsetting in a way where neighbors can't see your activity but still can gather on the main floor. There was also two fire stairs case, which is the main requirement when the building is not fully sprinkled. The community center on the first floor is also a good gathering spot where kids and adults can play, gather, and chill. I gave a unique look to the building by exposing the base outside of the wall core, which offers an industrial urban planning look. The furniture I calculate is going through from furniture store and trying to find cheaper and sustainable products, for example finding a door with a small window which is cost same as a regular door. The most challenging about this project was the site. The site is a triangle; it's hard to approach the triangle site. The parking was also a difficult task because when I researched the surrounding area,  they had the same problem as well, where they parked in the courtyard of the building. Still, at the same time, when I researched more, I found out people use more public transportation services than their car because public transportation is super convenient that most people won't prefer a car. I tried to provide a few parking spots at the back of the building. Why do I have an emergency route? Well, it's easy for fire trucks, ambulances, or another emergency service to get easy access so they can address the emergency in a fast way.
