Tini Menorca by delavegacanolasso: A Harmonious Mediterranean Retreat
Tini Menorca is a hillside Mediterranean home by delavegacanolasso, blending natural surroundings, sea views, T-shaped layout, passive cooling, and warm wooden interiors.
Nestled atop a hillside in Menorca, Tini Menorca by delavegacanolasso is a serene residential retreat that blends modern design with the natural beauty of the Mediterranean landscape. Surrounded by lush pine forests and iconic Menorcan ullastres trees, the house offers sweeping views of the sea, creating an immersive connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Innovative Layout and Connection with Nature
The design of Tini Menorca emphasizes fluidity and openness. Structured in a T-shaped layout, the 3x9.8 meter modules separate spaces according to privacy while maximizing exposure to natural light. The living, dining, and kitchen areas are oriented southward, opening directly to panoramic sea views, whereas the bedrooms face east to capture the soft morning light.
This careful orientation not only enhances daily living experiences but also respects and incorporates the existing trees into the design. Elevated walkways and exterior connections further strengthen the bond between the home and its natural surroundings.

Thoughtful Mediterranean Design
Understanding the Mediterranean climate, the architects designed Tini Menorca with passive cooling strategies. Shaded areas, reed pergolas, and delicate string curtains gently sway with the northern breeze, offering comfort and shelter from the intense sun. The interplay of sunlight and shadow creates dynamic spaces that are both functional and visually captivating.
Natural materials, such as wood and stone, dominate the interior palette, reflecting the textures of the surrounding landscape. The interiors are minimal yet warm, providing a tranquil environment that complements the dramatic views outside.

A Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Experience
Tini Menorca is more than just a house—it is a meditative experience in architecture. Every space is designed to promote a harmonious connection with nature, from the large terrace that extends the living space outdoors, to carefully placed windows framing views of the Mediterranean.
By respecting the site’s natural features and integrating climate-responsive design, delavegacanolasso has created a home that is both sustainable and visually inspiring, offering an intimate retreat that embodies the essence of Menorca.
