Completed in 2024, this 252 m² architectural masterpiece redefines family-oriented living, combining sustainable design, luxurious comfort, and thoughtful spatial planning to foster community, privacy, and a harmonious connection with nature.

Redefining Family Living with Community-Centric Design

Villa Sawah is more than a residence; it is a blueprint for modern family architecture. As part of the Family Village, the villa emphasizes shared community spaces, featuring a dedicated common area and a safe, engaging playground. These spaces are intentionally designed to enhance family interactions, encourage social engagement, and create a nurturing environment where all ages can thrive. By blending private and communal areas, the villa ensures a balanced lifestyle that caters to individual needs while supporting family cohesion.

Architectural Elegance and Indoor-Outdoor Integration

Constructed with premium materials such as teak, bengkirai, and marble, Villa Sawah embodies sophistication and durability. High ceilings, expansive living areas, and thoughtfully designed outdoor decks allow for seamless indoor-outdoor living, offering stunning vistas of the surrounding rice fields. The villa’s stilted foundations preserve green spaces and minimize environmental impact, demonstrating a sensitive approach to eco-conscious design.

The residence comprises two distinct structures for functional separation and versatility. The main building houses the master bedroom, children’s bedrooms, and open-plan living, dining, and kitchen areas. The secondary building includes a guest bedroom, office, and adaptable space that can function as a yoga studio, TV lounge, or additional living area. This layout ensures both privacy and flexibility, accommodating diverse family dynamics.

Prefabrication, Modular Systems, and Sustainability

In line with Stilt Studios’ commitment to sustainability, Villa Sawah incorporates prefabricated building elements and responsibly sourced materials. Utilizing a 3x3 meter modular system for both steel and wood components, the construction process is optimized for precision, customization, and efficiency. This approach not only accelerates the build but also significantly reduces construction waste, lowering the villa’s carbon footprint.

Additionally, the villa is equipped with a smart home system that monitors energy usage and enhances thermal efficiency. Combined with natural ventilation strategies, including strategically placed openable windows, the villa achieves 54% greater energy efficiency and 78% less embodied carbon, leveraging wood’s carbon storage properties. These features exemplify the integration of luxury living with environmental responsibility.
