Revolutionary New Apple Store in Via del Corso Designed by Fosters + Partners Set to Wow Customers!
Get ready to experience cutting-edge technology and sleek design in the heart of Rome's shopping district

Apple has unveiled its newest retail location in one of Rome's most vibrant areas, Via del Corso. The 17th store to open in Italy, the centrally located space will serve as a hub for Apple team members to provide the local community with best-in-class service and support. The store is located in Palazzo Marignoli, a grand historic building dating back to 1873, and has been one of Apple's most significant restoration projects to date. The project was led by renowned architects Foster + Partners, who created a thoughtful combination of historic and contemporary architecture.
The store design preserves the palazzo's historic beauty, paying homage to Rome's rich history of art and culture. Several pieces of art showcased in Caffè Aragno, a notable gathering place frequented by artists, writers, and actors, have been carefully restored and thoughtfully incorporated within the new store design. The teams were also able to revive and integrate Fabio Cipolla’s “Dawn” and Ettore Ballerini’s “Dusk,” two large ceiling paintings that date back to the early 1900s. Apple and a team of local restorers collaborated to create a thoughtful combination of historic and contemporary architecture with Via del Corso.

The store's large glass windows face Via del Corso, allowing natural light to stream into the interior, while the lush courtyard with native Camphora trees provides a natural and calming environment for visitors. On the first floor, four sets of doors provide access to an exterior landscaped terrace filled with jasmine vines and olive trees inspired by Roman roof terraces that look into the courtyard. Once inside, visitors will find a monumental staircase dating back to 1888, restored to its original detailing of locally sourced Carrara marble.
The upper floor houses the Forum, located in the ballroom of the Marquis's palazzo, which will be home to Today at Apple sessions. The Forum is adjacent to a dedicated space for Apple Support and the Genius Bar, where a team of conservators has worked thousands of hours to restore the exquisite, geometrically patterned, hand-painted ceiling. Apple Via del Corso also brings the first-ever Today at Apple Made in Rome program dedicated to providing the next generation of young Romans with inspiration, skills, and tools to explore their passions.

The store's location in the heart of Rome and its careful restoration of a historical landmark make it a significant addition to Apple's retail presence in Europe. Apple's presence in Europe spans over 40 years, supporting over 1.8 million jobs, with more than 100 new jobs created at the new store. The 200 team members at Via del Corso collectively speak 20 languages, making it an inclusive space that celebrates diversity.
Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People, said, “We can’t wait to begin a new chapter in Rome with the opening of Apple Via del Corso. The new store represents a celebration of the unique history and art of Roman culture, and we hope to inspire creativity among the local community with our Made in Rome program and future Today at Apple sessions.”

Apple Via del Corso is not just a store; it is a celebration of history and culture, a space that inspires creativity, and a hub for the community. The store's careful restoration of the historic Palazzo Marignoli and its commitment to providing local communities with skills and tools to explore their passions make it a remarkable addition to Apple's retail portfolio. The Via del Corso store is a must-visit for anyone interested in history, art, architecture, and, of course, technology.
