The city, if we take its individual parts and bring them to something in common, will give us an understanding of the importance of any connections built by a person.

All of them are an important component in the formation of the convenience of the urban environment, and, at the same time, they require an anthropomorphic formation - the laying of roads, the creation of squares, etc.

The bus stop is not a theater or a street; it does not even try to be one. This is not a clockwork, but only its hand, but its importance does not diminish from this - that is why we took our task seriously and made decisions based both on the personal experience of young people living in the city and on the ideas of our colleagues who worked over similar forms.

The location of our modular stop was almost immediately chosen the city of our residence, the "capital" of western Ukraine - Lviv. Thanks to our work in the regions known to us, it was easier for us to accept and cut off various ideas, since we had an understanding of whether they would be good or not very good in practice - even though we are working on a conceptual form, it is important not to build something in the air and give his entourage.

As a result of a little visual analysis and observations, we have identified several features of the existing stops, which, as it seems to us, can be solved by a modular architecture:
First, instead of wind glass protection from time to time it would be possible to insert seating or nothing at all: given the density of the city's development, the buildings themselves often provide sufficient wind shade to comfortably wait for transport.
Second, advertising panels are likely to become less profitable the farther we are from the city center, so they could also be replaced with something more functionally needed by residents.
Third, the stops themselves are made of aluminum and glass, which has both its pluses and minuses. The obvious advantages include the cheapness of the form and the visual lightness of the design, while the disadvantages are the impracticality of using the same glass in such quantities and the absence of at least some kind of heat retention inside: too many gaps do not allow the heat to remain inside the stop and release it outside, as a result of which it is decidedly unpleasant to wait for transport in light clothes in winter.
Fourth, the dimensions of the stops are fixed, which makes their equipment cheaper, but leaves no room for optionality: closer to the center, for example, people need more stopping space than to the outskirts, which can be solved by a modular panel system, for example, our version.

In the process of work, we tried to solve these shortcomings and at the same time preserve the utilitarian urban design of the form, therefore the main concept of our project was the modules-panels, designed to be used like a designer to form the necessary environment for the necessary conditions.

In fact, our solution to the modular system is to use vertical beams with built-in lighting and internal wires, on which, when used, various panels will be pushed or inserted, which will form the appearance of the stop. There may be, in theory, an infinite number of panels, but out of really practical things, we decided to use benches, tables, blank panels for wind protection, panels with the ability to integrate advertising, two-panel corner systems that form children's corners. This is not all - the only limitation is the imagination and needs of the residents.

The design was inspired by the constructional solution: all vertical elements are highlighted in dark gray, trying to reflect the static and primitive form, all modules - light gray, light and contrasting with the original elements. The panels are divided into vertical planes, which are randomly assigned either tinted glass or solid material - this is done to create the effect of an endless pattern, which will be especially noticeable with a long stop length and will not look constantly repetitive and boring.

The form came out more difficult than the existing stops, and here we thought about the cheapness and practicality, inclined, in the end, to the second. The stop is much more resistant to vandalism, has discreet colors and almost maximum practicality.
