The design draws inspiration from Lichtenfels’ rich history as a basket-weaving town, where the traditional craft of willow weaving has long shaped the urban fabric.

Innovative Architectural Concept

The Archive of the Future is a striking composition of two golden trees that extend their metal branches, forming a canopy reminiscent of historic city arcades. These digital trees represent growth, continuity, and transformation, linking the town’s artisanal past to its high-tech future. Encased within an elegant glass structure, the space invites natural light, reinforcing the concept of openness and accessibility.
