Arte Bella
Project Description
The Arte Bella is a Design concept that involves unique interaction pathways and social gatherings. The artisan space that is in the central part of the bridge is a main factor in the shape of the bridge. The platform has canvases and display areas for shows, art, and community gatherings. The curved ramps leading up to it allow for pedestrians and bikers to access the Artisan space as well as be elevated above the city’s streets. The social stairs add a sense of persuaded interaction within the bridge between artisans and the community by allowing for relaxation areas and interactive seating embedded within the stairs. The symmetry of this bridge makes it, so each side of the bridge is met with the same architectural elements the lead up to the artisan space and the fluidness of these pathways express a sense of inclusion to these spaces. By combining these architectural aspects within the project, it strengthens the design intent for this project of connection, experience, and emotion. The connecting path that goes underneath the side ramps from on end to another allows for pathways and experiences that get users closer to the Arno River and separate from the other spaces, this is for any kind of area that can be shaped by the art itself. The Arte Bellas curved, and flowing architecture adds a new connection piece to the surrounding architecture of Piza, Italy. Concrete, wood, and landscaping bring a sense of biophilic design to the bridge along with the sea of canvas displaying art and emotions. Every space of the bridge is ADA compliant and does so by making every path an experience for the user and artisans.
