DVS 03 Apartments: Contemporary Residential Design in Ciudad Juárez
DVS 03 Apartments by Jorge Urias Studio features 33 unique one- and two-bedroom units with brick façades, terraces, and functional, modern design.
Located in the vibrant city of Juárez, Mexico, DVS 03 Apartments by Jorge Urias Studio exemplifies modern apartment living while harmonizing with its existing low-rise environment. Completed in 2023, the project forms a new sector within the Villa Serena apartment complex, offering 33 one and two-bedroom apartments across two contemporary buildings. Covering an area of 3,250 m², the development thoughtfully integrates with the surrounding gardens, gym, pool, and business center.

Site-Responsive Design
The design process for DVS 03 began with a meticulous study of the site and an analysis of the axes of the pre-existing buildings. This strategic approach created direct visual and spatial relationships between the new sector and the existing complex, ensuring a seamless integration within the residential community.

Architecture and Façade
The buildings’ exteriors combine a robust concrete frame with carefully positioned brick-clad volumes, producing a dynamic interplay of light and shadow across the façades. Each apartment is framed with exterior balconies and terraces, offering private outdoor spaces, natural shading, and enhanced ventilation. The modulation of windows is thoughtfully varied, giving each unit a distinct identity while maintaining cohesive aesthetics across the development.

Functional Interior Layouts
Functionality drives the design of DVS 03. The brick-clad volumes are not only structural elements but also double as functional storage solutions within each apartment. This clever spatial strategy maximizes interior usability without compromising openness or light. Residents enjoy airy, well-lit interiors that respond to both privacy and community needs, ensuring each apartment feels unique while contributing to a cohesive overall design.

Community and Lifestyle
Beyond its architectural qualities, DVS 03 enhances the lifestyle of its residents. The development preserves common areas, gardens, and amenities such as a gym, pool, and business center, fostering a strong sense of community. The thoughtful design of terraces, balconies, and outdoor spaces encourages residents to interact while enjoying privacy in their personal spaces.

Architectural Impact
By blending contemporary design with the surrounding context, DVS 03 Apartments establishes a distinctive identity within Ciudad Juárez’s residential landscape. The project demonstrates how careful site analysis, material choice, and functional planning can create a vibrant, sustainable, and visually engaging apartment complex.
