Ernest Café and Wine Bar by Orosy Studio: A Seamless Fusion of Day and Night
Ernest Café and Wine Bar by Orosy Studio blends modern design with seamless transitions, creating an open, elegant café by day and wine bar by night.
An Architectural Masterpiece in Jung-gu, South Korea
Designed by Orosy Studio, Ernest Café and Wine Bar is a hybrid space that effortlessly transitions from a cozy café during the day to an elegant wine bar at night. Located in Jung-gu, South Korea, this 148 m² venue redefines the concept of fluid hospitality by blurring the lines between interior and exterior spaces.

A Vision of Architectural Liberation
The design philosophy behind Ernest Café and Wine Bar is rooted in the idea of liberation from everyday life. Orosy Studio sought to create an environment where guests feel a sense of openness and connection, achieved through a thoughtful interplay of space, light, and materials.

Blurring Boundaries: The Spatial Experience
Rather than adhering to rigid structural divisions, the space is designed with a focus on human perspective and movement. The architects utilized eye-level divisions to subtly separate functional areas while maintaining a harmonious flow between indoor and outdoor environments.

Elegant Interior Design with Premium Finishes
The café and wine bar feature a minimalist yet sophisticated interior, enhanced by a curated selection of high-end furnishings and materials. Renowned manufacturers such as BoConcept, ATCR, Bang & Olufsen, Catellani & Smith, Flat Point, L&C Stendal, and Mario Botta contribute to the venue’s refined ambiance.

Key Design Elements:
- Open-concept layout promoting fluidity between spaces
- Natural lighting accentuated by strategically placed windows
- High-quality furniture for a modern yet inviting aesthetic
- Warm, earthy tones that create a cozy yet upscale atmosphere

Photography & Visual Experience

A New Standard in Café & Bar Design
With its innovative approach to spatial fluidity and immersive design, Ernest Café and Wine Bar stands as a benchmark for contemporary hospitality architecture. Orosy Studio has successfully created a versatile space that adapts to time, mood, and function, offering visitors an unparalleled café and wine bar experience in the heart of Jung-gu, South Korea.
