Estudio Atemporal, a renowned architecture firm in Mexico, has designed a beautiful villa that combines the traditional elements of a cabin with a contemporary twist. The design responds to the particularities of the environment, playing with light, scales, and pure geometry to create a volumetric exploration that blends seamlessly with the terrain. The result is a beautiful and harmonious space that serves as a refuge in the countryside, far from the city and more urban areas.

Design Features

The villa consists of a public area, including a living room, terrace, kitchen, and services, under the double height generated by the gabled roof. This space extends towards the terrace, which integrates both moments, interior and exterior, in a harmonious way. The private area consists of three bedrooms, two secondary ones on the ground floor, and the main one on the upper floor, taking advantage of the height of the deck to create an intimate and cozy space.

The gates in the public area allow for a direct relationship with the outside when fully opened, enabling the environment to be part of the house at all times. This gesture achieves the goal of leaving the city behind and experiencing the natural environment, generating different moments for the users. The design creates an architecture that responds to its context, ignoring the site, and at the same time exalting it.

Materials Used

The villa is constructed using a mix of materials, including wood, metal, masonry, and concrete. This blend of materials adds depth and texture to the design, creating a visually appealing space. The use of wood adds warmth and a natural feel to the interiors, while the metal and masonry add a modern touch to the overall design.

Wood is used extensively in the interiors, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The living room features a beautiful wooden ceiling, which complements the wooden floors and furniture. The bedrooms also use wood extensively, creating a warm and inviting space. The use of metal and masonry adds a modern touch to the design, giving the villa a contemporary edge.

The villa is a stunning example of residential architecture, showcasing Estudio Atemporal's commitment to creating beautiful and functional spaces. The design allows for different moments for its users, making it an ideal space to rest and connect with the environment. The villa serves as a rest house, managing to integrate the need to feel in a cabin in the country without leaving the comforts of a fully equipped house.

The design also responds to the climate of the region, which is mostly warm and dry. The villa is designed to provide ample shade and natural ventilation, keeping the interiors cool and comfortable. The use of large windows and doors allows for natural light to flood the interiors, creating a bright and inviting space.
