From Concept to Context

My design process for Root & Revive evolved through a structured, multi-phase sequence: I began with an intensive site and contextual analysis of Kabusa to deeply understand the local topography and cultural requirements, followed by a conceptual phase where I defined the dual-program strategy of merging education with rehabilitation; I then progressed into spatial programming, mapping out the distribution of functional zones to ensure seamless circulation, before moving into material selection, where I prioritized sustainable adobe and passive climate strategies to ground my project in local tradition; finally, I refined the architectural form by integrating landscape design with building massing to create a porous, therapeutic environment that serves as both a functional hub for vocational training and a peaceful sanctuary for holistic recovery.
