A Vision for Sustainable, Affordable Housing

The Havenkade social housing project, comprising 164 social rental units, 38 medium-priced rental apartments, and 122 private-sector homes, aims to address the pressing need for affordable housing in Nijmegen. The design, created by leading architects Thijs Asselbergs and Joeri van Ommeren, prioritizes functionality without compromising on aesthetic value, ensuring that social housing is designed with the same thoughtfulness as other housing types. Urban Design and Architectural Excellence
