Mix Restaurant by The Bloom – A Fusion of Nature, Architecture, and Dining in Lam Dong, Vietnam
Mix Restaurant in Lam Dong, Vietnam, by The Bloom, blends indoor-outdoor dining, sustainability, and nature-inspired architecture into a unique experience.
Mix Restaurant, designed by The Bloom Architects, is a contemporary dining destination in Lam Dong, Vietnam, redefining how architecture and gastronomy can merge to create an unforgettable experience. Completed in 2023, the 958-square-meter restaurant blends natural materials, layered structures, and thoughtful spatial planning to deliver both functionality and a sense of intimacy with nature.

A New Dining Landmark in Vietnam
Mix Restaurant is not just a place to eat—it is an architectural statement. With a design that seamlessly combines indoor and outdoor dining experiences, the restaurant immerses guests in a vibrant yet calming environment. Its layout is divided into five distinct zones, each designed to enrich the diner’s journey:
- Parking Area – The arrival experience sets the tone. The roof system is composed of three layers: rainproof polycarbonate to block rain while allowing light, a strong load-bearing structure, and a decorative wooden ceiling. This combination ensures comfort, functionality, and a striking first impression for visitors.
- Half-Indoor, Half-Outdoor Dining Area – This flexible zone features a retractable roof that can be opened to reveal the sky, letting diners connect with the natural surroundings. Strategically planted trees act as a green curtain, creating a semi-private yet immersive dining atmosphere close to nature.
- Indoor Dining Area – Designed for comfort, this section features an insulated corrugated iron roof with decorative ceiling elements. A hidden misting system cools the air, while hanging plants reduce heat and enhance freshness. The result is a refreshing, eco-conscious dining environment that combines modern technology with natural beauty.
- Service & Utility Areas – The kitchen, warehouse, and restrooms are discreetly integrated into the design, ensuring seamless restaurant operations without disrupting the customer experience.
- Landscape Integration – The restaurant’s design embraces natural scenery, using greenery not as decoration but as a central part of the architecture. From open-air views to shaded courtyards, every element reinforces a sense of sustainability and harmony with the environment.

Sustainable and Experiential Dining
The Bloom’s approach emphasizes sustainability, innovation, and aesthetics. By incorporating natural ventilation, shading, and energy-conscious solutions, Mix Restaurant creates a comfortable atmosphere without relying heavily on artificial cooling systems. The project demonstrates a new mindset in restaurant architecture in Vietnam, where design enhances not just visual appeal but also environmental responsibility.

A Destination Beyond Dining
Mix Restaurant has already become a local landmark. Its fusion of architecture, dining, and natural immersion sets a benchmark for future restaurant designs in the region. By blending cultural context with modern design thinking, The Bloom creates a space that is both practical for business and inspiring for guests.
