Path of Comprehend
A path, to pursue inner will and peace of mind.
Preface
Whitby Abbey church is a man-made relic left in nature. It not only symbolizes the central idea of a period but also plays an important role in the cohesion of the local people. Nowadays, it has gradually withered but never disappeared in the hearts of residents. Therefore, we create a building merged into nature, trying to start a dialogue between the old and the new churches. It symbolizes that faith still serves as the spiritual support of people, but in a plural developing way instead of a single central idea.
Chapter 0 Visible and invisible
What is religion? Why do we need it? Since ancient times, people have not divorced from religion at all. Religion brings us spiritual sublimation and transcendence, but it also brings us oppression, bondage, and degeneration. People's disagreement has led to wars, but they also get peace and happiness. Before the noble and loving Lord, we are equal, in the twisted and chaotic truth, we fall back into the abyss. So, what religion is exactly for us?
Chapter 1 Chaos
In the chaos, I stepped onto a rugged road. Curiosity drove me forward. The depressed and inclined wall seemed like an inexplicable atmosphere, which covered me and forced me to put down my thoughts and observe the movement around me.
Chapter 2 The pursuit of the lost
The confusion and uneasiness all over the sky collided and screamed in my heart. I solemnly closed my eyes and prayed sincerely, just like the believers around me. I tried to comprehend, but I couldn't see clearly.
Chapter 3 Awake
The warm sun falls on the side face of my slightly closed eyes. Has all this been arranged? Should I struggle or go with the tide?
Chapter 4 Rebirth
"Goodbye Holy Mountain, Real life awaits us." The Holy Mountain (1973) - Alejandro Jodorowsky
Get up! Go to the unknown light!
The future is still bleak, and the Holy Spirit has never appeared.
Epilogue
Religion seems to lead us to jump out of the thinking dimension and look at the past, present, and future from the perspective of God. It is like a path, we have no way of knowing the causal relationship, we can only verify or watch locally. Only by perceiving and transcending reality can we look at the overall situation and return to reality again.
