PELSAN Textile Office by mimaristudio – Innovative Headquarters in Tekirdağ, Türkiye

Located in Tekirdağ, Türkiye, the PELSAN Textile Office, designed by mimaristudio, serves as the cutting-edge headquarters for Pelsan Tekstil, part of the renowned Hassan Group. As Turkey’s first and only producer of breathable polyethylene film, Pelsan supplies essential products to the medical, hygiene, and insulation sectors. The 5,000 m² office, completed in 2023, embodies a vision of flexibility, transparency, and employee well-being, reflecting the company’s innovative, technological, and colorful identity.

Led by architects Ayca Akkaya Kul and Onder Kul, mimaristudio developed a holistic approach to workplace design that emphasizes interaction, creativity, and social connectivity. The project transforms the office into a vibrant living and working ecosystem, providing spaces where employees can collaborate, learn, socialize, and innovate. From short break zones along circulation axes to flexible areas for individual and group work, every detail fosters productivity and satisfaction.

The office’s façade design incorporates semi-transparent connections between indoor and outdoor spaces, terraces for fresh air access, and greenery integrated into natural landscaping zones. These elements encourage visual contact with the exterior while creating a biophilic environment, enhancing mental and physical health. The design incorporates 14 biophilic design routes, such as “Nature in Space,” “Natural Reminders,” and “Nature of Space”, promoting a deep connection to nature even within a technological workspace.

Interior solutions prioritize comfort, acoustics, and innovative lighting. Feltouch’s “Make-up” acoustic ceiling and wall systems, along with the “Ra” acoustic lighting series, ensure both functionality and aesthetics. Decorative lighting, like the handmade “Sade” lamps by Ayça Akkaya Kul, adds unique artistry using advanced double-walled inflating techniques. The project seamlessly integrates linear and punctual lighting for general illumination while maintaining a visually stimulating and adaptable workspace.

The PELSAN Textile Office exemplifies a sustainable, employee-centered design, blending technology, flexibility, and nature to create a workplace that inspires well-being and productivity.
