Mental illnesses are a major social circumstance mentioned loudly in the past years.  Society began to focus on this always-existing problem.  This poster is created to raise self-awareness of mental health.  The image represents the theme of neglected feelings are the roots of mental illnesses.  The heart, the words, and the wounds. The emotions, the attacks, and the harms. People often decided to overlook their feelings for many reasons, their responsibilities, social expectations, the urge to avoid problems, etc.  These abandoned feelings corrupt people's hearts.  An unhealthy heart causes a higher margin of daily life risks.  Life is about decisions, also about happiness.  The goal is to remind people to listen to their hearts.  Accept their emotions in all aspects.  Reward their efforts and works.  Lastly, fall in love with their authentic selves.

I'm a Taiwan-born, semi-US-raised illustrator designer currently based in Queens, New York. As an immigrant from Asia, you can see hints of Eastern colors, cultural references, and values in my artworks. The memories and love I have for my hometown are the roots of my creativity. I want to use my work to let people know the beauty of Asian culture and remind people not to forget the history they carry in their blood. I enjoy working across a variety of mediums including illustrating, painting, mural-making, and digital design.
