Footprints

This tropical retreat is an exploration of possibilities where people live in harmony with nature. By learning from the nature in place and the indigenous wisdom, our design emerges from and honors native context, becoming part of it, like trees in a forest, leaving a more regenerative footprint.

Armadi

Janet Salem
Juror

Love the inspiration of the armadillo. The interior looks spacious thanks to the use of glass and the flexible conversion from day to night mode layouts. IT would also be interesting to learn how it is powered and where water comes from/is stored.

the project decisions are at the height of the project and the proposal. The scale of the decisions is very correct. It produces a great transformation in the whole area.

The platform concept is compelling and intriguing. However, its development to some extent disappoints expectations, especially in terms of graphics and precision of the drawings. They appear more as suggestions than the result of an effective design concept.

Vertical University

The relation to the inner space tends to omit architectural planning information of the building and details of its characteristic of materiality.

Interesting ecological concern, but without sufficient explanation for the correct analysis of the project.

Hydro Shell Nexus

The Hydro Shell Nexus is a biomimetic floating research laboratory designed to study coral reefs in Punta Nizuc, Cancun, Mexico, with minimal environmental impact. Inspired by clams, lobsters, and coral, its biomimicry sustainable design features underwater viewing pods, a clam-shaped front for coral growth, and lobster-inspired fins housing an air system.

Flower of the Desert

Choosing arid climate and Following bio mimicr design, we came to across a plant that lives in the Namibia desert, Welwitschia which is extremely sustainable in Arid areas and lives about 1000 to 1500 years. The unusual form of this plant keeps the soil under the plant cool and moist. The thick leaves lay on the sand surface and prevent wind erosion aswell.

good idea and concept, mostly consistent would have liked to see a bit more of the idea in the materialization - for the rest solid and good idea and design

Biomimetics

Prevent and anticipate is the phiposophy of this project. Cooperate, low cost and tech. Austerity and efficiency: viability. An existing infrastructure, local people & a local plant; it is the aquaduct -height, connectivity and resistance-, keralans -work capacity and sense of community-, and bamboo -floats, grows fast, easy-to-use, decentralized.
