THE CASTLE GARDEN
we imagine such a scenery-- Children play with the light and shadow, shuttling between indoor and outdoor. The geometric order of the continuous roof and pure thick concrete construct the sense of ritual of this kindergarten, while the variable scale and the infiltration of the courtyard dispel the "non-daily monumentality" and construct a peaceful and poetic
Art 1 Office Strips Athens Back to Its Bones
Neiheiser Argyros transforms a 40-year-old Athens office building into a vivid, materially rich workplace anchored by red steel, exposed concrete, and roof
The illusion of minimalism
This article addresses contemporary minimalism in architecture. It describes a shift from spatial intensification toward material and spatial neutralisation. It contrasts Miesian reduction with market-driven standardisation. It situates the argument through Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty, Zumthor and Koolhaas.
Transcendence
Transcendence.. Is an attempt to capture the city from an alternative perspective, or a set of perspectives. following the narrative of three characters, moving from the perception of the city, to the transformative experience of the building reaching for the final conclusion of each of the three characters in their search for transcendence.
PUBLIC CENTER FOR EXPRESSION
My project doesn't try to answer perfectly to the problem of depression. But it tries to help people to think about it in a sensitive way. It plays with our perception, our efforts and ours interpretation of things. The project tries to give a different approach, having a lot o
There is a very powerful idea lurking about in the scheme which can result in something quite extraordinary if there is a chance for it to fully develop.
The main virtue of this project is to have a very strong and resounding geometry.

House factory
Bauhaus was about design for everyone, philosophy was encouraged by mass production and not restricted by it. House factory is following those principles by producing house prototypes which are available for everyone, and allowing eve-ryone who is interested to participate in creating process. The main goal is to stop spreading wide range of i
I don't think that a school of architecture is a factory of different styles of facades.
This looks really good!
THINGAMAJIG
It is time to create a place for modernists to get the moment of support, connectedness and peace by doing meditation, ring a bell, placing wishing paper on a hole on wall, or just staring at sky... The interesting truth is that people who claiming agnostic still would go to the worship place to find belongingness. This building offer a palce for own ritual.
The concept and integration within the site is interesting. The program is very diversified which is a plus, and there are some really interesting spaces. Although the overall proposal is quite satisfactory, the transition between the different spaces could be smother, more organic, it seems unnatural.
re-ENGAGE
In a space voided by destruction, new architectural elements can contribute to create spaces within the spaces, memories within memories and meanings within meanings. The project proposes to refill the space as a museum for local artist and ancient element of Aleppo?s history that creates a spatial awareness both by form and function.
Endless Column (Fractal Edition)
Similarly to the Endless Column created by famous Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncuși, this reimagined version aims to represent infinity through the theoretically infinitely stackable modules. In a new tw expands the theme of the infinite by suggesting a fractal pattern across columns of different materiality that fit inside each other.
nice geometry, I like the textures
While I enjoy the resulting geometry it is hard to understand the relationship between this entry and the design brief. There is no information on materials, fabrication process or scale in relation to the process of making.
The project feels like an abstract exercise in parametric design without any ramifications beyond. The strength of Brancusi's famous sculpture is it's singular appearance as a free-standing structure. Using, or better, abusing it as the source of a parametric design exercise is futile.
Market & Food Hall
a market place with a megastructure that pulls the program away from the ground up is achieved by repetition of a single element, planes. The planes are repeated to create an interlocking structure, aesthetics, light modifiers, and frame views. A contrast is achieved by having the primary circulation as a sculptured ramp in the center of the project. The
saudade
This design makes people experience the monotony and density of a city and then makes them find the feelings which architecture should focus on. It provides a different experience and new route every time it is visited by locals or visitors. Saudade is the place of no one and it is also unfamiliar to everyone.
Nice work !
