Landfill Regeneration
Design strategies for transforming landfills and post-industrial sites into functional landscapes and communities.
Healing Patch: An Approach Towards Carbon Negative Future
The built environment continues to accelerate carbon emissions and ecological degradation. Healing Patch proposes a regenerative mixed-use superblock where computational optimization, renewable energy, water harvesting, and ecological systems transform urban density into a catalyst for carbon reduction, resource generation, and resilient public life.
Fostering Coexistence: Revitalizing Coastal Communities and Ecological Restoration
This project presents a regenerative model for climate-responsive coastal development, integrating wetland filtration, mangrove restoration, circular waste management, and community-led livelihoods. By positioning architecture as a catalyst for ecological restoration, it strengthens biodiversity, enhances resilience, and reconnects people with nature.
A strong and well-researched regenerative proposal that successfully connects ecological restoration with community livelihoods and public space. Its greatest strength is the systemic relationship between water, mangroves, waste, fisheries and architecture. Further technical validation and a sharper architectural synthesis would strengthen the project considerably
The project demonstrates a well-conducted site analysis and a thorough study of the surrounding context. However, the plan resolution is low, which affects its clarity and readability. Overall, it is a good project that successfully integrates architectural design with urban design.
RE-GENERATOR EDEN, Reinhabiting the Garden of Eden in Al-Hammar Marshes
A regenerative tectonic system in Al-Hammar Marshes (UNESCO) countering drought and displacement. Driven by a closed-loop metabolic logic (Reuse→Transformation), the architecture economically empowers Marsh Arabs via three circular vectors: reeds (structural/craft), buffalo milk, and resilient fish infrastructure, reconnecting humanity and nature.
wow !
Amazing work 💕💕

Landfill to Landform_A Story of Transformation
Continued use of decommissioned Landfill sites is a major cause of concern in developing countries. Ghazipur Landfill Site, located in New Delhi, India has been in news headline for its height being compared to Qutub Minar and Taj Mahal. These sites are affecting environmentally, socially and economically, and thus require a permanent solution.
Well done, Great accomplishment..May God bless...
Much appreciated! Great work. Keep it up
Great work team! All the very BEST
Waste To Wonder: Solid Waste Innovation Center & Urban Oasis at Naodapara Landfill, Rajshahi
This thesis proposes transforming an active municipal landfill into an integrated waste management and public landscape. Combining resource recovery, environmental education, and ecological restoration, the project promotes circular economy principles through a phased WtE strategy that transforms the landfill into a resilient urban oasis while restoring biodiversity and strengthening public awareness.
Progetto Ancora.
Beneath the asphalt, a century of industry poisoned the ground that feeds the lagoon. We remove the roads. Not to beautify. To begin. Hyperaccumulator plants draw poison from the earth, one slow season at a time. Buildings stop at their edges, not from failure, but from honesty. Ancora. Still here. Still anchored.
SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT INDUSTRY, SIRAJGANJ
In Bangladesh, the energy recovery from waste can be an alternative for meeting the local demand. The main objective of thi was not just energy production; it also aimed to create a self-sustaining and environmentally friendly industry, while making scope for social integration.
Dear Tabassum Faria kindly request access to the research data of this project. Best regards, fakhar alam
MOZHAO ARCHITECTS Carves Courtyards and Koi Ponds into a Dense Shenzhen Village House
A 600-square-meter homestead renovation in Shajing reimagines the handshake building as a layered sequence of gardens, water, and timber.
Bureau Ira Koers and Studio Roelof Mulder Transform a 1980s Dutch Hospital into an Indoor Jungle
A sky-lit atrium in Purmerend gets terrazzo planters, tropical foliage, and bamboo seating that blur the line between hospital and garden.
Biophilic Architecture and Regenerative Stadium Design: Biophilia Lagos by Rachel George
A regenerative stadium in Lagos transforms landfill into a living ecosystem through biophilic architecture, waste reuse, and environmental healing.
Machine Made Landscapes: Reclaiming Post-Industrial Terrain through Landscape Architecture
Reimagining abandoned quarries through landscape architecture, transforming post-industrial voids into ecological, cultural and urban assets.
RAGE
RAGE is a school that deals with the problem of landfills and generally the garbage that our planet will soon not be able to accept. Only through facing and educating future generations about problems, can we expect change and survival.
Facing the reality, it's not clear how, but at least it has a contemporary search.
Building resilient and sustainable communities
The project proposes scalable urban, landscape and housing interventions that will help the neighborhoods to survive in future flood crisis, bring the community together by enhancing the public space but also to create a more sustainable modular neighborhood that considers the UN Sustainable Development Goals for 2030.
Architecture as a catalyst for urban waste reduction
Urban waste, one of the most critical challenges in cities, is collected in heaves which become a key factor in urban pollution. The aim of this thesis is to unite the infrastructure for waste reduction management with conscious architecture and landscape design. It creates awareness amongst the people rejuvenates these urban wastelands as public spaces.
Reimagining the landscape of an abandoned stone quarry, Vetal hill, Pune
The project aims to develop a site specific sustainable development model which includes ecological restoration of the quarry land through public participation, biodiversity conservation and a sustainable infrastructure to educate masses about the process.
SWAYAM - THE WASTESCAPE COMMUNITY
Swayam is a community wastescape module to foster waste management with architecture, bridging the gap between waste, technology, entrepreneurs, and people through community engagement. the demonstration model through an architecture.
Great work
Hn theek hi hai . Amazing 😍
Amazing project
RAGE: A School Built from Garbage on a Bangalore Landfill
A recycling-driven educational complex in Mavallipura transforms landfill waste into building materials, farmland, and a radical new pedagogy.
"sproutline: healing through soil and structure in rural oklahoma"
a regenerative landscape of labor, learning, and renewal — where nature becomes a medium for human reentry.
A strong and relevant proposal with a convincing regenerative agenda; stronger quantitative validation would significantly strengthen the design.
