Lens to The Stars
From an idea to a concept
● What was the concept behind the project?
The main idea of the project was to create a space where the sky is the main character, a space that connects you with the universe and lets you dream with your eyes wide open.
● What/How were the materials chosen?
The materials chosen are mainly sustainable and local (such as wood), embracing the beauty of nature with a soft intervention that can be manually installed.
● How was a specific objective attempted to be met?
With this project, the main objective was to build a simple, minimal module covering the primary functions of living. When multiplied, the module creates a habitat for people joining the experience.
● What is the expansion plan of the project?
Being a simple, cylindrical volume , it can be multiplied as much as the site permits. The modules can form a composition greater than the ones that we created.
● How will the project transform with the passing time? etc.
Our intent was to use mainly local materials such as wood. Wood is an easy material to treat and maintain over time, and glass is long-lasting.
