The Blue Line Apartment: A Modern Residential Retreat in Bandar-e Mahshahr
The Blue Line Apartment by Asooarch in Bandar-e Mahshahr blends flexible living, work, and leisure spaces with blue accents and natural textures.
Located in the heart of Bandar-e Mahshahr, Iran, the Blue Line Apartment by Asooarch is a striking example of contemporary residential design that balances living, working, and leisure spaces within a 300 m² area. Completed in 2024, this thoughtfully designed apartment showcases an innovative approach to flexible spatial organization, personalized functionality, and aesthetic continuity.

Integrated Living, Working, and Leisure Spaces
Designed to meet the unique lifestyle needs of a modern couple, the apartment is divided into three main functional zones:
- Residential Zone – Featuring a cozy living room, fully equipped kitchen, private bedroom, and bathroom, this area serves as the primary domestic space.
- Work and Professional Zone – A dedicated area for productivity that ensures focus and privacy, accessible independently through movable partitions.
- Leisure and Relaxation Zone – A wellness-focused area with a Jacuzzi, sauna, gym, shallow wet pools, fountains, and green walls, offering a retreat from everyday stress.
Despite their distinct functions, these zones remain interconnected, allowing the residents to adapt the apartment layout for privacy or openness, depending on the moment. Movable partitions and flexible elements create dynamic interiors that respond to changing needs without compromising aesthetic continuity.

Design and Materiality
A defining feature of the Blue Line Apartment is its signature blue palette, applied like a continuous line that unites the different areas while emphasizing spatial separation. The use of handmade tiles, wooden shells, and neutral backgrounds creates a balanced contrast of textures, enhancing the sense of depth and continuity.
The apartment's design also cleverly addresses limited ceiling heights by eliminating sharp corners and introducing continuous, flowing forms, creating an illusion of expanded space. This approach transforms the interiors into a series of sequenced, immersive environments that feel larger than their physical dimensions.

Experiential Interiors
The Blue Line Apartment is not just a living space, it’s an experience. The integration of water features, blue curtains, and green walls injects vitality and freshness, while the modular layout ensures every function, from work to leisure, is seamlessly accessible. The apartment reflects the authentic spectrum of Iranian colors, offering a lifestyle-driven environment that engages the senses throughout the day.
The overall experience is akin to walking through a spatial narrative, where each zone tells a different story yet maintains harmony with the whole. It is a home that prioritizes adaptability, comfort, and aesthetic beauty, while celebrating cultural expression through color and material.
