Cosmic Architecture
Architecture and design inspired by space exploration, celestial mechanics, and extraterrestrial environments.
Lunar Stalactite: A Habitat That Grows Downward From the Moon's Ceiling
Suspended inside a lava tube beneath the lunar surface, this colony inverts settlement logic by hanging architecture from cavern rock.
LUNA BASE: A Lunar Settlement Organised Like a Solar System Around a Planted Core
Corinna Kollert's shortlisted Moon Base 2124 entry rings geodesic domes around a garden dome, turning vegetation into the base's infrastructure.
Lunar Spiral: A Fibonacci-Driven Moon Settlement Rising from Shackleton Crater
Golden-spiral geometry organises buried infrastructure and orbiting habitable spheres into a lunar base designed to grow as life on the Moon expands.
Neo-Covenant: A Runner-up Settlement Where Returning Spacefarers Meet Lalibela's Underground Survivors
An expandable habitat in Lalibela, Ethiopia, fuses energy, food, research and memory into one artificial ecosystem for a humanity relearning Earth.
STELLAR-1: A Dandelion-Inspired Orbital Refuge Built for Humanity's Eventual Return to Earth
A space elevator and porous lattice shells turn an orbital colony into infrastructure that safeguards people, seeds and knowledge until Earth heals.
ORIGYN GAIA: A Self-Expanding Orbital Station Built from Asteroid Material
Adam Hoehne, Jack Hooper, and Ricardo Miguel propose a modular space habitat that grows itself using in-situ resource utilization.

Project Infinity: Floating Architecture That Shields Archaeology While Building 2040
A People's Choice winning concept layers cantilevered canopies, AI-driven urban planning, and hybrid public spaces above ancient heritage sites.
Sea of Tranquility: A Circular Void that Frames the Night Sky
A shortlisted Moontrip 2019 entry uses absence, silence, and minimal form to transform celestial observation into spatial ritual.
Moon Trip Centre: Circular Geometry as a Gateway to Cosmic Experience
A shortlisted competition entry translates orbital mechanics into radial architecture, turning visitors into active participants in space exploration.
