Luminaire
Lighting design and luminous installations that shape architectural and spatial experiences.
faro
Faro was born from the idea that public lighting can become much more than a simple urban function: a meeting point, a shared space, a small center for community life.
Lumino-City
Our goal is for our park Lumino-City to serve a purpose and become a destination, not just a well-planned, coherent space. Our park is in New York City at the Robert F Wanger Jr. Park. There are 5 follies located on the site with the focus being light and community.
The different modes of working and flexibility in spatial arrangement was successful, and the use of the lighthouse concept was simple but effective in creating a sense of place within the site. The project could be further developed by considering how the micro scale units are organised within the site and how they interface with each other. There is an opportunity to look into alternative financial or rental models that would suit this spatial strategy, and strengthening and reinforcing the concept further.
NIGHTLY MEETING
In the park, the light directs the people to reach the site. At the site, fire was used to create a meeting space. In the dark, light can absorb population, break the silence of the night and ultimately create security in space.
LuxOre
This kinetic lighting fixture introduces a new approach to traditional indoor lighting solutions. It provides the opportunity to both relocate the origin of the light as well as the light intensity, utilizing the poly-phalanged geometry. The lighting fixture consists of multiple motorized aluminum elements that open and close in a sequential manner to creat
This is a beautiful design. I like the interactive lighting reacting to the opening.
Light
Very nice! It's easy to see that with some adaptation this could be modified for CNC fabrication with more media. Because of it's size it would be nice to have added the parameter to add or remove more spheres so the design would look less cookie cutter if several are used in a cluster.
Parametric lamp - curve based design
The Parametric Lamp allows users to fully customize the lampshade by adjusting control points on a guiding curve. Features include shape, size, material thickness, suspension length, and color adjustments. A visible red curve ensures functionality but disappears upon export.
Beautiful renders and I like the simplistic design incorporating up-lighting. I'm assuming the material thickness is included to emulate certain materials like metals and plastic, but allowing for thicker applications like stone or ceramic would be a nice addition.
Thank you for your review! I agree, bigger variety of materials could be an improvement for this project.
